You do not need to know every detail
Start with a clear photo you have permission to use, the pet’s name and a few traits or moments you know well. If you are unsure about an adoption date, age or relationship, leave it uncertain rather than confidently giving the wrong information. Suggestions for extra detail can help, but you do not need a complete family archive to begin.
For a surprise gift, ask a close friend for one or two harmless anecdotes. Avoid collecting private or sensitive information that has nothing to do with the book.
Choose the kind of gift they would enjoy
A memoir suits someone who enjoys recalling the small moments of a shared life. An adventure suits a reader who would enjoy seeing their companion as the hero of an original fictional story. A humorous guide suits a family with a well-established joke about who really runs the household.
Be more careful with remembrance gifts. Do not assume someone wants a memorial, a first-person voice or a surprise reminder of a loss. When in doubt, ask what would feel welcome.
Paperback, hardcover and the optional PDF
The planned paperback and hardcover editions have the same personalized story and at least 200 interior pages. A hardcover offers a more substantial gift format; paperback is the lower-priced binding. The complete PDF is an optional add-on, not a substitute binding.
PDF delivery is scheduled 14 days after payment confirmation and remains subject to the book’s release checks. Its timing is independent of physical-book delivery. Do not plan to use it as an instant last-minute gift.
Leave room for creation and delivery
A personalized book must be written and checked before it can be printed and shipped. Review order-specific estimates before purchase and do not assume an occasion date is guaranteed. For a date-sensitive surprise, contact us before ordering.
